2017 Capital Project

Project overview

Sage Engineering Associates, LLP provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering services for a district-wide capital improvement program at the Stillwater Central School District campus in Stillwater, New York. The project included reconstruction and additions at the Middle/High School, Elementary School, and the District Transportation Bus Garage. Work addressed aging building systems, ventilation deficiencies, and life safety upgrades while supporting renovations to instructional spaces, performing arts facilities, and transportation operations.

Major work at the Middle/High School included reconstruction and expansion of the music and theater wing, including auditorium and stage renovations, music rehearsal spaces, and administrative areas. Mechanical and electrical improvements included upgrades to HVAC ventilation systems and controls, electrical distribution improvements, fire alarm upgrades, plumbing system replacements, and roof reconstruction. Security improvements including secured entrances and upgraded camera systems were also incorporated.

Elementary School work included a secured entrance addition, reconstruction of special education offices and conference spaces, corridor lighting upgrades, ventilation improvements, and roof and skylight reconstruction.

The capital program also included additions and reconstruction of the district transportation bus garage including a two-bay repair addition, repair bay reconstruction, improvements to electrical distribution and ventilation systems, lighting upgrades, fire alarm replacement, roof reconstruction, masonry repairs, and replacement of underground fuel tank systems.
